This truly mesmerising 1950's Suzy Perette dress, rendered in a vibrant shade of evergreen silk, and accented by silver rhinestone button details, is just the perfect piece to add to your vintage collection. The rounded bateau cut of the neckline is framed by simple shoulder straps and a sleeveless cut. The elegant fitted bodice, is accented by tailored darts along the bust-line and curved seams along the central parts of the bodice, which draw the eye to the cinched in waistline and dropped skirt seam. The bodice is accented by a matching silk belt, which is decorated with silver rhinestone button features along each side, setting off the cross over belt design along the left hand side of the waistline. The eye-catching skirt, features box pleats which radiate from the lowered skirt seam and along the length of the skirt-line, completing this dress in a truly iconic 1950's silhouette. The skirt is fully lined in nylon. Label: Suzy Perette New York Measurements of the Dress Armpit to Armpit: up to 36 inches Shoulder to Hem: 46 inches Shoulder to Waist: 15.5 inches Shoulder to Skirt Seam: 18.5 inches Waist: up to 26 inches Hips: up to 50 inches Size: UK 8 US 4 Closures: This dress fastens at the back with a 17 inch metal zip and a hook and eye along the top of zip and along the back of the belt detail. Condition: This dress is in good but not perfect vintage condition. A very light scattering of small and very faint age marks along the central part of the bust-line. Very light colour fading along the armpits of the dress. A few very small pulls to the silk along the skirt-line, these are well concealed within the draped box pleats. A scattering of small pin holes and smaller holes along the left hand side of the skirt-line, these are well concealed within the pleats and drape of the silk. A scattering of small pin holes throughout the skirt-line, these are well concealed within the pleated drape. A small age mark along the back left hand side of the bodice near the zip. Light and gentle wear to the top of the left hand side shoulder strap. Colour bleed is apparent along the internal nylon lining. These minor details are not apparent when the dress is being worn, and only noticeable upon close inspection. . Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report. Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned Fabric: Silk, Rayon Lined along the bodice, nylon lined along the skirt.
