About the Item
Lovely 1920's dress with overall iridiscent seafoam sequins on silk tulle. Appliques of silvery gold lame "leaf" motifs and bias swirls are attached to hip and skirt area. The edges of the leaves are over embroidered in hundreds of gold bugle beads. The edges of the dress are edged in silver lame.
An attached slip is inside. There are a few additional inches (approx. 7") of hem turned under in the period which has additional lame and sequined motifs as does the slip if the wearer wishes to lengthen additionally.
Lovely coloring and easy wearable shape with graphic detailing. 1920's France.
Length 45", with 7" hem, bust 36", hip 46", shoulder 2.5". Overall Very good condition for dress. Slip has damages at underarms which can be easily replaced. Some losses as well on sequins.

- Material Notes:Bust 34", Waist 36", Hip 40", Armscye drop 14" Slip bust 38" (damaged), Length 46", some wear on shoulder. Sides are essentially open, and require a new slip, basically a tube with straps.
- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Slip has damage at underarms, which can be replaced with new panels of fabric which can be taken from slip hem. Overdress has 4 small breaks in the tulle less than .25", not visible when worn. Some wear on shoulder, open areas near leaves original.
