About the Item
A delicate and true vintage 1920s white lawn dress which is calf length. It is tailored from a lightweight, gossamer-thin striped tulle that is detailed with panels of different floral laces that fall vertically down the front and back of the dress. It has small fluttering sleeves with lace trim and a collared open-neckline. The straight-cut body gently flares at the drop-waist and is marked with a horizontal band of floral lace and a tulle ruffle. Below this, the tulle of the skirt is softly pleated. The bottom hem is finished with a panel of lace. This dress is unlined and, as such, is completely sheer.
This dress is in excellent antique condition, particularly for a piece of 100 years of age with no issues - it is wearable with care. An extremely well-made piece although no labels remain in the dress. The fabric has no stretch so please check the measurements below. Suitable for sizes up to a UK 8-10 or US 4-6.
