About the Item
This 1960s cream and gold lurex maxi dress by Jean Allen could easily be dressed up for a formal event or worn more informally as resort wear. It is sleeveless and features a V neck crossover front, connecting at the waistband to create a flattering feminine shape. The dress is cut in a similar V shape at the back, and fastens with a central and well concealed original metal zipper. From the waist down, the pleated skirt falls in a relaxed, flowy silhouette to the floor. The dress has a cream silky rayon blend underskirt, and an organza outer which is emblazoned all over in thin horizontal lines of gold lurex thread - perfect at catching the light for any occasion.
In excellent vintage condition - no issues noted and a best fit for up to a UK 10 or US 6. Could be paired with a belt for more definition at the waist. Our model is a UK 8-10 and 5ft 11in. (180cm) and this dress was a good fit on her.
