About the Item

This fabulous 1960s silk cocktail dress with matching belt tie is by Mardi Gras of New York and is in very good to excellent vintage condition with no issues. The printed silk fabric has an abstract paint effect design in vibrant fuchsia, turquoise and cobalt blue over moss and forest green and gives this piece a vivacious, contemporary aesthetic. There are small clusters of prog set crystal rhinestones in blue and green interspersed over the fabric on the bodice to add a subtle sparkle. The dress is sleeveless with round neckline and a simple shift cut cinched at the waist with a calf length straight cut skirt. It features a lovely piped belt tie in matching fabric with knotted spheres to decorate the ends and is fully lined in nude silk with a central zip fastening at the reverse. This is a dress to suit a range of occasions from weddings to cocktail parties and would fit up to US size 4, UK size 8. MEASUREMENTS: BUST - 35 in. (88.9 cm) WAIST - 25 in. (63.5 cm) HIP - 36 in. (91.44 cm) LENGTH - 43.5 in. (110.49 cm)
