Early 1960's Mollie Parnis black velvet empire waist dress inspired by the Dior look dresses from the 60's. Scoop neckline, 3/4 sleeve, black satin wide ribbon sash with raw edged front bow fitted just below the bustline that overlaps the back zipper to conceal the mechanics of this piece. Fully lined with 3 inches of horsehair finishing the hemline to help the the shape of this dress. Made for Bonwit Teller and in excellent unused condition. A timeless piece that works its charm for years to come. Fits like a US size 4.
