About the Item

This charming circa 1969 cotton dress by Ossie Clark for Radley boasts a pretty 'bubble' print by celebrated textile designer Celia Birtwell. This piece is pretty and gamine with puff sleeves and a wide Empire line waistband. The skirt has 3 x soft pleated tiers and falls to the mid calf. The plunging V neck balances the girlish aesthetic, accentuating the bust which is loosely rushed from gathered fabric atop of each shoulder. The print is in rose pink, sky blue, mint and yellow, interrupted with bold linear strokes in black and has a vibrant, modern feel. There is a central zip fastening at the reverse. In lovely condition with no faults to note, this special piece of design history would best suit US size 4, UK size 8, although there is plenty of give in the hip. MEASUREMENTS: BUST - 34 in. (86.36 cm) WAIST - 26 in. (66.04 cm) HIP - 36 in. (91.44 cm) LENGTH - 39 in. (99.06 cm)
