About the Item
This is a really beautiful example of 1980s formal day wear by French designer Louis Feraud. The light weight cotton fabric is in a beautiful feminine floral print in shades of blue, turquoise, pink and green. It has a painterly watercolour appearance. The structured and boned bodice has a classic sweetheart neckline and the ruched fabric originates from the centre seam on the front of the bodice. The skirt element has a gathered waistline and has been tailored into the era’s classic bubble shape and finished with an edging seam around the bottom hem. There is a wide fabric bow attached at the waistline to the front and the dress. With a concealed zip to the rear, this piece is fully lined in a quality acetate. It is in absolutely beautiful vintage condition and the look is flawless - as good as the day it was made. It is labelled a UK size 8 but this is petite by today's standards and will be better suited to a UK 6 or US 0-2.
