Mint condition, 1980's PATRICIA LESTER, Fortuny-pleated beaded, 'Delphos' gown in 100% pure, golden silk. This is really a stunning dress designed by Patricia Lester in Wales during the 1980's, inspired by Mario Fortuny. The entire dress is Fortuny, hand-pleated with a gorgeous, wavy effect at the waist area, accented with transparent seed beads all along the length of the dress, as well as the neckline. The 100% silk fabric has a luxurious, satin sheen to it, and is in a gorgeous, matte-gold color. The fabric has a heavenly, silky soft, hand-feel. The braided belt with twin tassels in the photos is not original to the dress, but will be included with this sale. The belt is not attached to the dress. The dress is in mint condition with absolutely no signs of wear, and certainly no damages or flaws. *MEASUREMENTS* There is no size stated on the label. We estimate the dress to be a US size 4/6 with an intentional looser, 'Delphos' silhouette fit. Please note that the pleated nature of the dress naturally gives the dress an easy 2"-3" 'expansion' tolerance, and ease of wear. The dress can accommodate slightly larger sizes very easily due to the pleated construction. The mannequin in the photos is a US size 6, and the dress fits very well. Please review the measurements below keeping in mind that the pleating expands, and stretches out when worn approximately 2"-3": Flat underarm to underarm: 13-1/2" Flat waist across: 13" Flat hips across: 14" Center-back length: 51" Sleeve length from top of armhole down: 20" Rear shoulder to shoulder: 13"
