About the Item
Pauline Trigère vintage 2 pc set from 1980s. The shape of the caftanesque top and the flowing elasticized waist skirt are inspired by the stunning Indian silks used for sarees. In fact this could actually be saree fabric repurposed to suit the North American clients who were Ms. Trigère's loyal shoppers. She dressed famous women and collaborated on Hollywood movies costumes. This piece was previously owned by an American musical celebrity who wore Pauline Trigère pieces for performance and in her everyday life. In excellent condition with a generous range in the fit. Although the owner was tall and thin this set would work well from a size 4 to a size 12 US. Top can be worn separately with leggings. Lots of drama with this amazing ensemble. Just add gold jewelry and enjoy.
