About the Item

Arnold Scaasi Couture, hand sewn silk paisley strapless sarong, petal hem gown matching applique jacket from the 1980s. Gorgeous green gold with black paisley design silk satin fabric, this gown has a sexy shaped boned bodice with a deep V neckline. At the waist front the fabric is gathered into a unique knot, the fabric is pleat draped at either waist side. The seamed waist is draped at each hip tapering to the hem, the skirt is cutaway beginning at approximately each mid thigh front and curves open at the hem, petal like, on either hem side. The dress is boned through the bodice. Fully lined in green silk. The dress closes at the back with a hand set zipper hook eye. The matching jacket is done in the same paisley design as the dress but in paisley wool challis, with black velvet hand done appliques. The cropped jacket has a jewel neckline and closes at the front with hidden snaps. The sleeves have gathered netting shoulder pads which keep them full at the shoulder top, the sleeve is full to just below the elbow. The jacket is lined in black satin. Hand finished details inside. Both fit like a size 4. In excellent wearable condition. All our clothing is dry cleaned and inspected for condition and is ready to wear. Any condition issues will be noted.
