About the Item

Circa 1925-1930 France. A short dress in black silk chiffon embroidered with lilac glass beads and marcasite pearls from the Art Deco period. Here, the theme of the little black dress celebrated by Gabrielle Chanel and synonymous with Chic à la française! Loose, straight cut, with draped effect on one shoulder and low waist featuring cubist graphics embroidered with pearls. An unusual detail: the pearl embroidery is underlined by tiny black fluffy pompoms. The underdress, which was supposed to be branded, is missing. No flaws, wearable dress, muslin being solid. Good overall condition. Dimensions: Equivalent France size 36-38
