About the Item
Late 20th-century gown and shawl crafted of black taffeta, netting and multicolor sequins, an eye-catching combination of elements. The shaped bodice, is covered with vertical rows of black sequins which are embellished with red, blue, yellow, and green sequin motifs scattered throughout. Above the bodice, a black net top with round neckline continues to long sleeves, and features scattered C-shapes throughout. From hip to ankle falls a full skirt decorated with a wide band of the multicolored sequins formed into circular designs composed of C-shapes. To top it all off is a long black sequin shawl with complementary multicolor designs and fringes at the ends. Back zipper with keyhole design and closure at neck. Unlabelled.
