About the Item
An incredible time capsule piece that beautifully captures the late 1960's and early 1970's fascination with Indian textiles. Delicate black silk chiffon with heavy embellishing of gold micro-sequins, red and green embroidery, and orange, green, and ecru appliqué with gold trim. The silk chiffon arms are unlined and sheer. The skirt is lined with a second layer of the same silk chiffon and semi-sheer. The bodice consists of two layers of the same fabric and one layer of opaque black silk. Hidden back zipper and hook closure. V-neck silhouette, not quite empire waist but just above the natural waist. I. Magnin
