Emanuel was the husband and wife team of David and Elizabeth Emanuel. They will be forever known as the designers that created Princess Diana’s Iconic wedding dress. After the wedding, and international fame, they created this beautiful couture dresses. This dress was made for Elizabeth Arden Salon in New York City and is very rare. Truly made like a couture dress in their small factory studio in London England. The dress is a work of art. The draping is spectacular and looks amazing on. The highlight of the dress is the skirt ham which is higher in the front and lower in the back. This dress is an impeccable original condition and appears to have little to no use ever. UK size 10. US size 8.
Emanuel Bio:
David and Elizabeth Emanuel are British fashion designers who gained worldwide fame for creating Princess Diana's iconic 1981 wedding dress. After their divorce, they pursued individual careers, and recently, in October 2024, they settled an amicable lawsuit regarding their past partnership.
Partnership: David and Elizabeth Emanuel were married and formed a fashion house together, which was famously commissioned to design the wedding dress for Lady Diana Spencer. The dress became one of the most recognizable gowns in history, known for its romantic, full skirt, ruffled collar, and 25-foot train.
Post-divorce careers: The couple divorced in 1990, and both launched individual careers.
Elizabeth Emanuel: She continued to design under her own label, work in costume design for film, television, and dance, and create uniforms for airlines.
David Emanuel: He established "David Emanuel Couture" and designed for various celebrity clients, including the wedding dress for actress Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Recent legal settlement: In October 2024, the two settled a lawsuit amicably over intellectual property rights related to their partnership. Elizabeth confirmed that she now owns all the intellectual property rights from the Emanuel partnership.
