About the Item
From Haitian-American designer Fabrice Simon came an array of beaded gowns and dresses that adorned celebrities, socialites and heiresses in the 1980s. This gown is the shining example of his craftsmanship and iconic style. The high-neck on this ensemble exudes elegance- very Elizabeth Taylor if we do say so ourselves. The primary dress is accentuated in length by the separate skirt. The skirt is sheer at the top and fits the double lined chiffon nature of the dress. The back features a gorgeous cowl drop to reveal the back. Good condition, no apparent rips tears or flaws apart from light discoloration in areas throughout. Multiple photos show the light bleaching... perhaps from age or improper storage/cleaning. As you can see from the full length photos, it is not noticeable from afar. There are two minor stains also pictured. We thought about beading over those areas but.... Price reflects the condition. Zipper located at left waist. Snap and hook closures at neck. Skirt features hook clasp and a slit. 100% silk. Skirt is 00. Dress is size 0/2.
