Here's a sophisticated evening gown from Galanos, likely created in the late 70s or early 1980s. Made from what we believe is silk velvet (no content tag), this piece features a sculptural collar which is piped in black silk. Note that the bottom hem is weighted, which allows exquisite movement as one walks!
Understated and chic, this gown is perfect for your upcoming parties, events and celebrations!
Made in the USA. Fully-lined with small shoulder pads and small zippers at each wrist. Fastens with rear zipper. No care label, dry clean recommended. No size tag, but we're estimating this as a modern size small. Approximate measurements, taken flat and double where appropriate: shoulders - 16", bust - 34", waist - 27", hips - 37", sleeves - 24.5", shoulder to hem length - 51".
Preowned/vintage with some signs of prior use and wear: a few rubs to the velvet, hard to see when wearing but evident if closely inspecting; an area near the zipper shows some fraying and wear.
