About the Item
From the personal collection of a department store heiress, this dress was purpose-built for the holidays by the company she owned. Its spot-on mid-century Christmas tassel sketch print is repeated in its cord belt, which was the template for the sketch itself.
Sleeveless cocktail dress with tassel sketch print and matching tasseled tie belt; string belt loops. Bodice features wide square neckline and notch at throat, plus bust darts and front Princess seams. Full skirt is deeply pleated around full waistline circumference. Scooped back with metal zipper closure and hook and loop at mid back and zipper top. Fully lined in ivory acetate.
