Circa 1920-1930. France Paris
Duchesse satin and black muslin long evening dress by Olivan-Brevet
Berthe, 14 Rue de Helder, Paris, dating from the late 1920s. Loose-fitting dress with large V-neckline punctuated by a modesty detail, fastened on one side with press studs. Fine pleats on the hips underlined by Art Deco embroidery in jet pearls, raffia and black sequins. Under-dress in black and cream taffeta, including long tasseled sleeves and cuffs embroidered with jet pearls. Small weaknesses in the cream silk underdress under the gussets, otherwise clean and without holes. Beautiful colour and condition. Dimensions: French size 39-40. Height 138 cm, shoulders 38 cm, bust 93 cm, waist 89 cm, hips 98 cm, sleeves 75 cm.
