About the Item
Mary McFadden cream cashmere knit fabric with unique sequin
bead trim, long sleeve tunic dress from the 1970s. An early example of Mary McFadden's ready to wear clothing in which, much of the beading
trims were hand done. This amazing tunic/dress is hand sequin/beaded, the zippers at each cuff and neck back are hand set
the lining is sewn in by hand. The dress fabric is off white soft cashmere knit, fully lined in silky off white rayon. Pull on dress with a bateau neckline, long sleeves each with a hand set zipper at the wrist, the dress back has a short hand set zipper at the upper neck back. A line shape, the dress is decorated with very unusual hand sewn sequins
beads, each in their own frame. The colours are rich
jewel like. Padded shoulder for shape. Marked size 12.
In excellent wearable condition. All our clothing is dry cleaned and inspected for condition and is ready to wear. Any condition issues will be noted. For visual comparison our mannequin is a size 4.
