Nina Ricci is one of the more understated designers of the couture world. With a penchant for a glamourous Parisian charm, the house of Ricci’s work presents itself with a mellow style. From the Spring 2016 collection, this dress is made from an ivory silk. Although this dress is in a simple column silhouette, the vast amount of detail is what elevates this design. Rife with ruching, smocking, and shirring this dress has a unique texture. Primarily under the bust and at the waist, wispy ostrich feathers in a matching white add a whimsical touch. Finishing below the knee, this dress is a perfect blend of modest and modern with an old-world feel. It can be seen as look #10 from that season’s runway done in a lavender hue.
