About the Item

Rare, Oscar de la Renta bold print silk organza, ruffle trim, low scoop neckline evening gown from the 1970s. Gorgeous bright floral print gown with a deep ruffle trimmed scoop neckline, elbow length sleeves with deep ruffles that come to the wrist. The bodice is fitted and has an empire waist. Gathered skirt is long in the front and back and is shaped shorter at the sides the hem is finished with a ruffle all around. Lined in pink crepe, the skirt lining is a separate short slip in pale pink crepe. The dress closes at the back with a painted metal zipper and a hook eye at the top. Marked size 12, which is a vintage size. Fits more like a modern size 4 is narrow across the shoulder back. Check the measurements. In excellent wearable condition.
