An iconic dress from Patrick Kelly's Autumn Winter 1989 runway show. This collection of chic and provocative designs featured many of the hallmark elements that have since become emblematic of Kelly's subversive genius. True fashion historians will recognize this dress is a very collectible piece by Patrick Kelly.
The faux bolero bodice injects a hint of 1940's sophistication into a late 1980's sexy, form-fitting silhouette. Composed of 100% wool with a gentle give to hug those curves in all the right places. Cheeky peek-a-boo keyhole cutout at chest with red and black wool contrasting color blocking . High mock neck. Hidden zipper down back of neck.
Excellent vintage condition.
Labeled size US 10, but is more like a US 8.

Patrick Kelly
Patrick Kelly was born in London, England. He studied fine art and industrial design at The Christopher School of Art and The Hammersmith School of Art, London, in the 1950s. Patrick's work has been shown at the New Vision Gallery in London, Madison Gallery in New York and All California Show at Laguna Beach. His work has also been shown around the world, including in Canada, Mexico and America. Patrick is known for designer colorful pop art style works, with an underlining industrial theme.
