About the Item
This Victorian dress has it all! Made from a very fine handkerchief linen it has a high neck, exquisite floral embroidery, a very generous amount of heart patterned lace insertion, as well as cut work, pin tucks, and horizontal pleats in the skirt. Even the buttons at the center back are embellished with a carved design. The high neck is unusually elegant because it is a continuation of the bodice, rather than being a separate piece. The long sleeves have pin tucks and rows of heart lace insertion. The bodice has embroidered daisies and roses, lace insertion, pin tucking and cut work. The skirt is narrow over the hips with vertical bands of lace above panels of embroidery and cut work. The back of the dress has ten carved buttons at the center back and the skirt is longer in back forming a slight train.
This dress is freshly laundered and pressed and examined for any flaws. It is in excellent, pristine condition and perfect for a wedding dress.
