LOVE LALI VINTAGE Ralph Lauren Collection purple label Ralph Lauren Spring Summer 2007 - Look 23 worn on the runway by Anja Rubik This is an incredibly rare collectors item, the most breathtaking vintage gown that featured in the 2007 Spring Summer campaign. This dress would work wonderfully in the evening or it would work perfectly as a wedding gown. It has a simple silhouette, beautifully elegant with a touch of sexy due to the low cut plunging neckline that drapes beautifully around the bust. Composed of two layers, the first in cream silk and the overlay in warm ivory silk - this allows just a touch of the cream to peek through at the draped bust. It is cinched in at the waist which is elasticised for ease and comfort, which also allows this to work for varying sizes due to the stretch. There is a detachable brooch on one side of the waist adorned in faux crystals with larger faux pearls at its centre. The skirt falls effortlessly to the floor from the waist - the back of the dress is around 3.5" longer than the front, so there could be a slight train depending on your height. The back of the dress has a twisted racerback, and is cut low to give a beautiful backless cut. Due to the streamlined flowing silhouette and elasticised waist the dress has no need for any sort of closures, and therefore simply slips on. MADE IN USA Composition 100% Silk Size - Please see the measurements as this dress will work for different sizes. US 8 Measurements Bust 36" - this is a little difficult to measure as it is a draped open bust, it therefore will work for several sizes smaller and larger Waist 25" - the waist is elasticised and stretches to a maximum of 30" Hips - the hips are 38" but they fall free and the fabric has stretch, so this would also would work for various sizes Length from top of shoulder to front hem 66.5" Length from top of shoulder to back hem 71" Condition As you can see from the photos on the mannequin, worn this dress looks absolutely beautiful and no flaws can be noted, however due to being a vintage piece on close inspection this dress does however have some flaws. There is what you would call fraying or small very fine pulls to the silk over the top of the shoulder straps, the bust, front and side of the hips and the bottom and a few here and here to the body. I have tried to turn the mannequin directly to the light so that the camera could pick these up, it is very difficult as many lie flat and they can only be seen when turned back and forth towards the light, I have a professional lens zoomed in - but this was the best I could capture, there are quite a few little pulls all over these areas - incredibly fine, I do believe they would be hard to see when worn. I can send these photos individually by request to prospective buyers. There is a very tiny hole to the top layer on the bottom - see in photos. There are two little holes, one on the under layer and one on the top layer towards the hem - obviously the one on the under layer cannot be seen and the one on the top layer is completely lost among the ripples of fabric and backed by the under layer, so they are inconsequential. There is a couple minor marks to the front hem and some minor dirt marks. These also cannot be seen, however they could also be possibly removed depending on your height and if you wanted to shorten the dress. This area also has several fine pulls. One of the underarms has some slight yellowing - shown in photos
