Built in boning at bust and modern brass zip extends the length of the dress at back! It is so unique and modern. NWT. (never worn). Made in the United Kingdom. UK size: 10. USA size: 6.
Roland Mouret: Bio
Roland Mouret is a French fashion designer born in Lourdes, France, in 1961. Despite only three months of fashion school, he became a model, stylist, and creative director before launching his own label in London in 1998 to critical acclaim. He is known for his structured, elegant designs that celebrate the female silhouette, and his iconic "Galaxy Dress" is one of his most famous creations.
Early life and career: Born in Lourdes, France, Mouret worked in his father's butcher shop, which he says taught him about cutting and fabric. He moved to Paris, dropped out of fashion school, and pursued careers as a model and stylist, eventually catching the eye of Jean Paul Gaultier. He later moved to London, where he worked on a street-wear collection called "People Corporation".
Launching his label: After the funding for People Corporation was pulled, Mouret launched his own eponymous label in 1998. His first collection was praised for its draping and tailoring, and it earned him financial backing to continue his work.
Signature style and success: Mouret became known for his innate understanding of the female form, and his designs, such as the "Galaxy Dress," were celebrated for their structure and elegance. His brand has received numerous awards, including "British Designer of the Year" at the Elle Style Awards.
Modern career and legacy: Mouret has also been involved in collaborations with mass-market brands and has focused on sustainability in his brand's practices. In 2011, he opened his first flagship store in London.
