About the Item
Tan Giudicelli was born in Indonesia to a Vietnamese mother and a Corsican father. He came to Paris in 1956, got a job at Dior and then moved to Heim. In the early 1970s, he was the chief designer of Mic Mac, where he was allowed to showcase his own creations, often with a strong Asian theme. In 1975, he designed costumes for The Story of O. Giudicelli, found regular work in various fashion houses including Hermes and Chloe, and in the late 1970s produced small couture evening dresses that retailed at prices ranging from 1000 to 3000 dollars. In 1984, he found funding for his own ready-to-wear label.
This amazing, very rare floor-length gown created from mesh, tulle and decorated with drapery and flowers.
