This breathtaking 1950's duchess satin gown, in the most eye-catching shade of emerald green, accented by gathered pleats and a decorative bow, is the perfect piece for that special occasion. The strapless neckline of the dress, is set off by a sweetheart décolletage, accenting the fitted and boned bodice which boasts elegant gathered and folded pleats, which cross over along the right hand side, drawing the eye to the cinched in waistline, which is embellished with a matching emerald green satin bow. The ballerina length of the dress is accented by gathered pleats that drape from the cinched in waistline, completing this dress in a timeless and iconic 1950's silhouette. The skirt is lined in starched cotton, allowing for the structure of the skirt to drape accordingly. The dress is boned along the bodice Label: Susan Small Measurements of the Dress Armpit to Armpit: up to 32 inches Top of Bodice to Hem: 48 inches Waist: up to 24 inches Hips: 54 inches Size: UK 6 US 2 Closures: This dress fastens at the back with a 17 inch plastic zip and a press stud drawing the satin over the zip and a single hook and eye Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition. A few very light water marks along the skirt line, these are well concealed within the pleated drape .A very light scattering of age marks along the base of the zip area to the back of the bodice.A few light age marks and water marks along the centre front of the hemline, again these are well concealed within the draped pleats.
