Circa 1851
France
A rare Troupe de Marin paletot jacket, model 1851, dating from the Monarchie de Juillet. Navy woollen cloth with eleven brass buttons engraved with a naval anchor and the inscription Equipage de ligne. The lapels are trimmed with two applied inks in scarlet felt (later). Beige canvas and indigo cloth lining, SD naval anchor stamp, dated second quarter 1851, regimental number 60558. No defects. Good condition. Original stitching and cut unaltered.
Dimensions: Child size equivalent to today's 12 years old. Height 47 cm, sleeves 57 cm, chest 79 cm, waist 75 cm, shoulders 34 cm.
