A chic and easy to wear jacket by Laurel. The jacket has two pockets at the front, and is double breasted with eight buttons and is fully lined.

This fine 1940s flecked grey wool jacket retailed in high end American department store Schleisner and Co, Baltimore. There is a small additional label inside from the Coat and Suit Industry National Recovery Board which was a Union-made label used from 1936-1972. This darted and contoured jacket features a rounded v-neckline, with an overlapping button closure, and a further four pearlescent buttons running down the front. It has sloped seamed shoulders with slight padding to add structure, finished off with a button to each cuff.
