About the designer: John Anthony founded John Anthony, Inc in 1971 after attending Academia delle Belle Arti in Rome, and the Fashion Institute of Technology. He had high-profile clients like the wives of U.S. presidents, including Betty Ford, Rosalynn Carter, and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, as well as many actresses and performers. His style won him the designer Coty award. He has always been known for his tailored wrap coats, suits, flaired skirts, and wide-legged pants.
