Authentic, preowned Junya Watanabe Comme des Garçons avant-garde black cotton ruffle poncho, tagged size M from the 2004 collection. A rare and highly sought-after silhouette, this dramatic sculptural poncho features a voluminous draped construction with layered ruffles, an abundance of soft cotton fabric, and multiple adjustable ties that allow the piece to be styled in various avant-garde shapes. Finished with a discreet hook-and-eye closure at the neckline, it captures the signature conceptual design aesthetic of Junya Watanabe for Comme des Garçons.
A striking yet wearable statement piece, ideal for collectors of Japanese avant-garde fashion, Comme des Garçons, and archival Junya Watanabe. This poncho was previously owned by Kat Von D (acquired from a charity event), and a copy of her COA card will be included with purchase.
Made in Japan. 100% cotton. Hand wash cold. Tagged size M.
Approx. measurements (laid flat): 40 in shoulder to hem (longest point), 60 in across.
Condition: Preowned with light signs of wear consistent with age and use. The unfinished hem intentionally features purposeful raw threads, as designed.
