About the Item
This is a great example of French haute Couture from the 1940's. Edward Molyneux chose a modern fabric design and padded the shoulders as well as the peplum of this three button jacket. The label is missing but it is easy to identify it as Molyneux. The cream silk lining is woven with "Molyneux" in an early example of logo branding. The jacket is in very good condition however the lining is stained on the front and back. This does not come through to the outside of the jacket, which presents well. I have not tried to remove the stain, it needs a better cleaner than I have in my area.
