About the Item
Montague Burton tailored / made to order black wool evening tailcoat, with the early 'Tailor of Taste' black and silver label. It is lined in black silk with a cream material lining for the sleeves. Inside there are two pockets, and there are two interior glove pockets to the tail lining.
There is a bit of staining inside one underarm, and a few small holes. Apart from this the tailcoat is in very good condition for its age.
Measuring approximately chest size 36 inches
Shoulder to shoulder seam 16.75 inches
Shoulder seam to cuff 23.5 inches
Top of back collar to hem 41.75 inches
This is a high quality piece, circa 1940s. A rare find.
