About the Item
Indulge in the luxurious sophistication of this 1940s Custom Hand-Embroidered Blazer/ Jacket made by R. Saillart in Anvers, the French name for the city of Antwerp, Belgium. Meticulously handmade with intricate brown floral raised tambour embroidery, this jacket exudes Old Hollywood tailored glamour. This piece could easily be on a luxuriously clad star in Casablanca (1942). The silk interior adds an extra touch of opulence. Made by a French designer, presumably R. Saillart, in Belgium this jacket is truly a masterpiece. We were unable to find any information on him/her. In good vintage condition, one minor hole at top lapel (pictured). Additionally, various light yellow spots aprobably from age. Inner collar and shoulders show same discoloration. It still has many years left of classic beauty and longevity.
