About the Item

This true vintage Edwardian corset cover is in great wearable condition and dates to around 1910. Surprisingly contemporary, it is crafted from white hand-made crochet patterned with a loose design floral arrangement that has been expertly placed throughout. It has a panelled construction broken up by strips of thick tonal cotton on the interior which sit where the boning of the corset underneath would be. It buttons up the front with hand-carved buttons and has a curved basque waist. At the rear, the top is laced through metal eyelets. This top is in fantastic condition for a piece of over 100 years of age and we love how these are being repurposed by our customers as beautiful tops. The corset cover has no issues and is freshly laundered; a best fit up to a UK size 6-8 or US 2-4. MEASUREMENTS BUST - 30 in. (76 cm) WAIST - 26 in. (66 cm) LENGTH - 13 in. (33 cm)
