About the Item
Art Deco Shell Pink Silk Chiffon Smocked Ensemble almost completely handmade of French origin. This ensemble is 95% hand made, with even all the edges hand embroidered with scalloped silk edging. Very difficult to technically construct this garment with the hand smocking which actually makes those areas elastic. Hand silk covered buttons with hand made loops and super full poet sleeves.
If this ensemble was made in silk crepe or taffeta for evening today, it would only be available at the Haute Couture for upwards of 75,000 to 100,000 dollars. 1940's France, Small-Medium.
