Before the days of separate bras and panties, “step-ins” or “singlettes”—precursors of the modern teddy—were the perfect undergarment beneath the sleek bias cut dresses of the 1930s. Devoid of any lace or trimming, this version reminds us of the minimalist designs of Erès and even features their alluring backless cut, perfect for wearing to bed or beneath slim-fitting dresses.
Peach charmeuse step-in with adjustable shoulder straps and hooking elastic band at upper back; elastic rear waistband. Scalloped edges and unlined buttoning crotch opening. Bust lined in peach net; otherwise unlined.
