About the Item
Circa 1930 France
A nice evening pajamas, two pieces, pants and bodice in cream silk pongee printed with large soft green polka dots, dating from the 1930s. High-waisted pants with flared legs, pockets and bottom of the pants echoing the green polka dot print. Loose-fitting, sleeveless bodice with a V-neckline and integrated vest, piped with matching green silk. The collar is highlighted with a lavallière-style tab. The pants are tightened at the sides with ties, which also allow for the addition of a buttoned flap pocket. Unlined and hand-finished. A casual look for a seaside evening between the wars! Please note: there are some very rare and tiny rust spots, which are difficult to see (see the last two photos). No other flaws to report. Good overall condition in terms of color and preservation. Dimensions: Equivalent to size 36/40 France. Pants: height 94 cm, waist 75 cm. Top: height 55 cm, chest 89-95 cm, shoulders 38 cm, waist 95-100 cm.
