About the Item
This wonderful timeless and elegant evening couture evening top from Geoffrey Beene shows the true workmanship of couture. Interior lining is of silk organza. Exterior is a combination of silk organza with woven gold lame threads throughout, with hand-embellishment of silk ribbons hand-sewn, top with brown silk threads hand-sewn along the collar to give the appearance of Persian Lamb. Edges are hand-sewn and finished with rolled silk organza. Hemline and center back is finished with gold lame threads to have a fray-and-fringe appearance. Center back has five (5) coco silk-covered buttons embellishment with five(5) actual hand-sewn snaps underneath. Back-center neckline has a singular micro hook
eye.
Sleeve's tapered cuff is finished with an invisible 3 1/2" zipper for a more polished appearance, along with gold lame threads for a semi-fringed appearance.
Front measures 15 1/4", back is 17", underarm circumference is 38", underarm-to-hem is 8", sleeve is 23", circumference is 8" at cuff, neck circumference is 16", neck-to-shoulder is 5", shoulder across is 17".
