About the Item
Men's Linen Club Shirt by Susanne Bartsch from the 1980's. Exaggerated New Romantic style proportions with double fall away sleeves and cut point collar. Oversized in ivory linen designed to wrinkle and stain after sustaining a night of frenzied dancing and club hopping. Super long sleeves with buttonholes (cufflinks needed) which can be worn loose or pool up the forearm when secured. Covered front placket with mother of pearl buttons.
Susanne Bartsch was a leader in the downtown NY 's 80's and 90's club scene. Her Andrew Logan mirrored temple of retail cool on West Bway in Soho attracted clients from all different parts of the world and was a magnet for the creatures of the night, as was Pat Fields. It was akin to shopping in a living gallery where the most exciting imports from the UK, were made available only in NY. Works as a cool mens shirt or a womens mini. Mens Medium or Womens Large.
