Antique late 19th century Moroccan Islamic gold thread embroidered lady's shoes
This pair of vintage Morocco ladies mules with cherbil metal embroidery red leather slipper shoes date from the late 19th century.
They are made of red velvet hand embroidered with gold gilded wire thread embroidery couching needlework. These ladies stunning slip-on slipper shoe, backless mules cherbil have pointed toes and multi layered stacked leather bottom soles.
The shoes measure 10 inches long and 3 inches wide.
These are truly a beautiful one of a kind piece of collectible antique Moroccan textile art.
A pair of antique 19th century Moorish Moroccan Islamic embroidered velvet noble lady's mules with pointed toes.
Such shoes belonged to a woman of high status, and she wore them when welcoming honored guests or during special occasions.
They were rarely used because they were expensive to make.
