About the Item
Bright colors and floral motifs were staples of James Galanos’ aesthetic. Whether it be a sophisticated gown or an on-the-go sportswear ensemble, Galanos frequently carried over this aesthetic to maintain a feminine flair for his younger and more mature audiences. Done in a poppy red embossed cotton, this 1980s mini skirt is printed with navy, red, and yellow flowers bordered by a thick white outline. The skirt fits snugly on the waist and blossoms out to a mid-thigh length with lightly structured undulations mimicking the stylized petals of the print. On the back, two pleats supply additional volume and fit. This skirt comes with a matching red leather belt that perfectly fits over the waistband of the skirt giving it a dash of a mod vibe. Fun and flirty, this Galanos mini skirt is on-trend and is the perfect option to pair with a simple blouse or tee.
