About the Item

1960's Lanz peasant style floral maxi skirt in a cotton canvas. The skirt zips and hooks at the side with a 2.5" waistband and soft pleating. The ruffled hem tapers a bit providing the silhouette a subtle bubble effect. The floral design includes shades of pink, purple, green and orange on a white background with narrow stripes of a checkerboard pattern in orange and aubergine. Lanz started in the 1920's as an Austrian company producing folkloric costumes for a European market and eventually expanded to the United States producing fashion lines with a nod to Old World styles. This adorable skirt combines the best of both worlds and would be perfect paired with a crop top or simple t-shirt for a fun summery look. CONDITION Good vintage condition with subtle yellowing to the side seam as shown in photograph 12. Professionally cleaned and ready for wear. SIZING MEASUREMENTS Marked a size 7 and best fits U.S. size 4 with attention to the following measurements. For visual reference, the mannequin in the photographs is a size 4.
