About the Item

Circa 1930 England A collectible Jumpsuit Amazon short pants and skirt in twill gabardine with black wool from the designer house Robert Carroll in London and dated 1930. Short pants with knee-shaped inserts for riding, with inner reinforcement in chamois on the buttocks . Side and under the knee buttoning in black plastic buttons, the last two of which are made of steel. Open wrap skirt matching the shape of the horse with inserts and reinforcements lined inside with black cotton satinette. A row of white threads sewn in cross stitch at the waist marking the Couture finishes of this British house specializing in sporting items. The skirt and short pants are branded with a black printed satin label and handwritten indicating Robert Carroll, Cork St, London.WI, numbered 7679 B, date 13-5-30, and Mrs GS Montefiori indicating the client of this Amazon set. Little used set having kept its stiffness from sporting exercise. No flaws to note. Very good condition of color and conservation. Dimensions: Equivalent French Size 36 Short pants : Height 82 cm, Waist 64 cm, Hips 92 cm. Closed skirt: Front height 27 cm, Back length matching the horse 73 cm, Waist 69 cm.
