About the Item
This magnificent 1960s French couture dress suit in scarlet appliqué is of exceptional quality and a rare and unusual find. Both separates are comprised of a soft woollen appliqué style embroidery arranged in a swirling floral design over a net underlay. The dress is a gamine wiggle style with a pretty scalloped hemline, sweetheart neckline and dainty straps, finishing below the knee with a zip fastening at the reverse. The cropped jacket is designed to be worn open, with a hook and eye fastening at the neck, 3/4 length sleeves and curved at the waist. Both pieces are fully lined for comfort and in excellent vintage condition with no issues. No labels are present; however, this is very well made and would best suit a US size 2-4, UK size 6-8. The fabric has no stretch.
