About the Item
This vibrant 1960s cotton velvet ensemble comprises of an ankle length maxi skirt and sleeveless top in a flamboyant psychedelic paisley print design in fuchsia, turquoise, lime green and lilac on a deep indigo background. The set is unlabelled and although it is not Pucci, it has a very similar aesthetic and emulates the opulent, vivacious spirit of this celebrated era to perfection. Simple tailoring creates an elegant line over the hip on the A-line skirt and neat darts sculpt the bodice to accentuate the bust and waistline. Both pieces are fully lined and there are zipper fastenings on the centre reverse of the top and over the left hip on the skirt. A striking ensemble that can be worn either together or as separates, would fit up to a small US size 8, UK size 12. Excellent vintage condition.
