About the Item
1966 Geoffrey Beene baby pink silk cordé fabric skirt suit. Cropped button front jacket with 3/4 length sleeves, small pockets at the waist and darts that travel vertically down the front of the jacket ending in two front pleats. The pink plastic buttons are static and there are snaps hidden on the underside of the placket. The skirt fastens at the front with an overlay hiding a zipper and hooks on the hip. In excellent condition, lined in polka dotted pink silk. Fits like a US 0/2. Originally worn for a civil wedding ceremony in Australia in 1966.
