Safari style MaxMara Penny Black label beige linen safari jacket and short ensemble from the 1980's. The jacket has a lovely shape, fitted through the waist and wider draping at the hips. Faux flap pockets at the bust, four mother of pearl buttons at the waist and two large functional flap patch pockets at the hips. A single button at the neck that can be worn open or closed and wide dolman shaped sleeves. Classic high waisted safari style shorts with a flat front and mother of pearl button closures at both hips. Diagonal slit pockets at hips and belt loops. Wide leg allowing for nice draping. Tonal top stitching and corresponding beige lining. Fashionable and functional. Excellent vintage condition. Fits like a US size 4.
