About the Item
Evoking late-1980s couture with complex construction showcasing a wide variety of sewing techniques and French lace, this like-new "Christian Lacroix Paris Made In France" fuchsia-label four-piece evening ensemble including detachable jewelry features black 100%-silk with extensive white changeante topstitching like the French designer's handwriting, which includes his signature distorted hearts among quilt-like diamond and flora motifs. To wear like a dress, the zip-jacket and pouf-skirt suit includes a hot-pink satin black-lined faux-blouse that can be fixed over the cleavage via a snap under the collar of the front-zip jacket.
Accommodated by princess seams and a rear peplum on the hourglass jacket, the A-frame gathered skirt is in a semi-transparent layered style characteristic of Lacroix's colorful couture with the bottom layer of matching hot-pink satin appearing burgundy under the sheer black stiff organza. The textural skirt overlay echoes the embroidered black-and-white jacket with the addition of undulating black eyelash-lace appliques in the middle.
Like a necklace pendant, the ensemble is topped off with a removable intricately-textured silver diamond-mesh charm recalling a disco ball, which adorns the brass zipper that adds an orange stripe to the ensemble palette.
As our backless mannequin is a small size, the ensemble will appear as a tighter fit when worn by the intended U.S.-size 8-10.
